On May 4th, 2023 CSU Maritime Academy, Otto Construction, and WRNS Studio celebrated the ribbon cutting and soft opening of the Mayo Hall Renovation and Addition. Originally built in 1945, Mayo Hall was the first permanent building on campus and has served multiple purposes in its lifetime such as a gym, natatorium, and indoor volleyball court. The renovation preserved the building’s historic exterior while stripping the interior to its essential elements. The newly renovated Mayo Hall contains office and conference spaces for the student leadership, career services, admissions, financial aid, and registrar departments. Lounge spaces provide a central gathering space for cadets, and a new building addition houses the Health Services Department. This marks Otto Construction and WRNS Studio’s third CSU project completed together.
