Square Feet: 155,000

Delivery: Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)

Categories: Sustainable Projects, Corporate Complexes

Project Description

The CA Lottery building was designed to promote a number of construction and design practices to increase profitability while reducing negative environmental impacts. Completed in July 2011, the project achieved LEED Gold Certification by the USGBC through a number of sustainable features. These include: Vegetated Roof System which accounts for water conservation, solar heat gain and reduction in urban heat islands; Photovoltaics – generating electric power by using solar cells to convert energy from the sun into electricity; Ice Storage – through this method, we reduced cooling costs between 30-40%, while reducing peak demands on utilities; Automatic Window Coverings – they adjust to sun and heat; Materials and Resources – during construction we achieved a high recycled content in construction materials.

Turlock Irrigation District Palm Street Office Complex Renovation

Project Details

Location: Turlock, CA

Square Feet: 37,018

Delivery: CM-at-Risk

Categories: Renovations, Corporate Complexes

Project Description

This project consisted of the renovation of two existing buildings that were previously occupied by the City of Turlock into a new Power Operations Building and Water Distribution Building for the Turlock Irrigation District. The two buildings required significant renovations, including replacing and raising the roof structure to provide clear span spaces and additional height on the inside for the Power Control Center’s video display wall. The new open office environment is surrounded by support spaces such as focus rooms, a new Irrigation Control room, fitness center, break and locker rooms, and new conference rooms. Both buildings were designed to optimize energy efficiency, conserve resources, and reduce long-term maintenance costs for the District.
