This project consists of the construction of a new 2-story, 91,000SF Technical Education Building for the Los Rios Community College District American River College campus. The new building consists of classrooms, staff offices, conference rooms, gathering spaces, laboratories and maker spaces. Laboratories include an electronics lab, computer lab, soldering lab, mechanical/plumbing lab, and welding yard. There is also be an auto shop and auto yard.

The scope of work required the demolition of 5 existing buildings and the associated canopy structures and site work, but the automotive technology building remained until the new building was complete. This required our team to provide students an accessible path of travel around the construction site to access the building, which was just 30 feet from the construction site. When the new building was complete, the auto technology building was demolished to make room for a parking lot.
