ARC Technical Education Building
This project consists of the construction of a new 2-story, 91,000SF Technical Education Building for the Los Rios Community College District American River College campus. The new building will consist of classrooms, staff offices, conference rooms, gathering spaces, laboratories and maker spaces. Laboratories include an electronics lab, computer lab, soldering lab, mechanical/plumbing lab, and welding yard. There will also be an auto shop and auto yard.
The scope of work requires the demolition of 5 existing building and the associated canopy structures and site work, but the automotive technology building will remain until the new building is complete. This will require our team to provide students an accessible path of travel around the construction site to access the building, which will be just 30 feet from the construction site. Once the new facility has been completed, the auto technology building will be demolished and the automotive yard and welding yard will be built. A new parking lot and associated landscape will take place of the existing automotive technology building.
