The Dennis and Janice Caprara Community Center Complex represents a transformative investment in the Gonzales community, with Phase 1 laying the foundation for a vibrant, inclusive hub centered on youth, learning, and connection. This initial phase introduces a 10,000-square-foot facility that brings together a teen innovation center and a new home for the Monterey County Free Libraries’ Gonzales Branch, creating a dynamic environment where education and opportunity intersect.
Strategically located adjacent to the library and within close proximity to local schools, the teen center is designed to be both accessible and impactful. It will provide youth with essential resources such as internet access, computers, and printing capabilities, while also serving as a platform for meaningful programming.
At the heart of the complex, an outdoor courtyard featuring an amphitheater and play and discovery areas creates a welcoming space for gathering, creativity, and community events. This shared environment is designed to strengthen connections among residents and foster a sense of belonging.
